My name is Sara Erdal (Turkey 1974) and I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands with my family whom gathered an immigration right as guest worker status. I started to paint in recent years and I don’t have any academic training. I define myself as a spiritual person and I tend to visualize all images of my previous experiences, observations, daily-life activities and paint them on canvas or board. I try different techniques with the use of acrylic and watercolor and the more colors I use the more I can express myself.

Although I find myself quite Dutch, I prefer to use Mediterranean colors to create abstract and sober paintings which I believe is my treasure. My deepest wish is to inspire the people all around the world. “It is an expression of talent that is finally out of the closet… Since then, I'm happier than ever!”
